Lulu Embroidery Files (.PES)
Lulu Embroidery Files (.PES)
Several years ago when I made my most recent version of Lulu from Final Fantasy X, I decided to be a little crazy, like usual. So I spent 200 hours drawing, digitizing, testing, fixing, redigitizing, re-scaling, finalizing, and finally running the 25 embroidery files for close to screen accurate edging around the skirt and sleeves. This listing is for them. This listing is NOT for finished embroideries.
When I first took on this endeavor another cosplayer was kind enough to offer me her custom made files, but being the perfectionist I am, I remade them instead.
This was however in 2017, and many of the files were saved as things like “flowersquiggletest5finalbfinalihope” so I have now spent many hours going through and making sure this listing contains the most recent versions, but if I missed anything, or they aren’t running well, or scale is off, please let me know.
All files are now labeled, including how many to run of each and how many to run mirrored-I did not include separate files for mirrored versions. There are two that are the same art with different scale on each. A couple need fairly large hoops, just because they are BIG. Included are the PES files and a JPG of each, so you can easily see which design is which, and a key for where each one goes.
When I did mine, I used a multitude of ivory, cream, and pearl gray threads. All files are programmed for only two colors, black edges and white interior. I then took some watered acrylic and added a little paint to them for a more watercolor-y effect while keeping them muted colors.
I wasn’t entirely sure what to price these at, so I looked up embroidery files and it looks like the average price is $5-$10 per file, so I decided to discount from there, since there are so many of them.
I highly recommend running these all individually, with a strong stabilizer. I tried to run some of the mirrored sets as one file during my R&D, and it very much did not work. I used a muslin with a cut away stabilizer, then trimmed, fray checked the edges, and glued and hand tacked it to my leather dress. Be aware they will get really dirty if worn outside.
